Camping ALONE with the kids plus 1

Eric was gone for a week to help out his brother in Oklahoma. While he was gone I took the kids camping. (We had made reservations a few months back before the Oklahoma plans were made and the kids were really excited to go so we went) We had a great time and didn't get into too much trouble. No one got burned and everyone had plenty to eat. We did get a little cold, but that is just the way it is in the Great Pacific Northwest.

My cute little pyros, but where is the flame?? It took me a while to get a good fire going, but I finally got the right idea when I decided to make a torch out of a stick, paper towels, and hand sanitizer....hand sanitizer works really well and burns for a long time:)

Noah and Caleb LOVED finding tadpoles and wanted to bring home about 17 a piece. That didn't fly with me, so we put them back in their natural habitat:)

Evergreen Fountains hosted a car show and the kids got to enjoy playing on one of the motorcycles. They were stoked!

We were able to ride on a Union Pacific Train Wednesday and learn about train safety.

The kids had a great time and got to go with their friends Caleb, Sabrine, and Ava. They each got a cute hat and really enjoyed riding on the top of the train in the nice seats:)

Violet was sooo confident on her horse. She could get this horse to walk backwards, turn, and stop. She was awesome!

I found this puppy wondering lost on Barker Rd (busy street) and I decided to bring her home. The kids were sooo excited until I told them that we were going to find it's owner. We hung a few posters and by 5pm the owner (very excited to get dog back) came and got the dog. Amy and Violet were both in tears to see it go. Violet carried this puppy around like a doll and had a great time with her. I guess we will have to get one soon! AHHHH!

Getting ready to attack the slopes. Eric's dad retired his skis to Eric earlier this year and we tried them out last weekend. Little did Eric know that skinny skis are soooo yesterday and fat skis are in. One of the lift operators even commented on it. Pretty funny.

Yes, I am on the bunny slop, but it has been a while. I had a great time and did not blow my knee out like the last time I was on a ski hill. YEAHHH!

We spent the day snorkeling and playing on the beach.

We went on an Rain Forest Trek & Cave Tubing Adventure.

So we hiked for about 45 minutes and then jumped onto tubes into a River.

The river was about 1 1/2 hours and we tubed through 2 caves. Fun!!

We spent 1/2 the day snorkeling and the other half driving around

the island on this! We had a blast, but those drivers are crazy over there.

He was 7 weeks early but still weighed just over 5 lbs.

Eric shoveled another 4"-6" of snow last night at 9pm.

Now he is shoveling another 12" this morning!!!!

Violet tried her hand at shoveling, but that didn't last too long.

Noah, our scientist, wanted to know how much it had snowed.

The total so far is 20". The weather man says we

The temp. isn't getting any warmer in the next week so this stuff is

Eric was not on his best behavior so I had to put him in irons in the dungeons.

I LOVED all the cows with their bells hanging on their necks. The cows were

everywhere. I totally wanted to steal a bell, but I am completely guilt-ridden. I opted for buying a smaller one and it now resides in my kitchen. My mom use to round us kids up in Beaumont by ringing the cow bell. Ohhhh....the memories!

So figuring out the whole background thing was pretty fun. Now can anyone tell me how to come up with a cute header? I need all the help I can get since I really don't have an eye for that sort of thing:) Thanks for all the comments I LOVE IT!

I Can't Believe I'm Blogging!

To anyone who knows me, I have said that blogging would take up to much of my time. Well, I just can't help myself! so I hope I can learn how to do this well and keep up with it:) At least this will make me take more pictures and become more computer savvy. For our day off we had a great day as a family. We spent most of the

day in downtown Spokane. We saw the Falls

(which are huge this year because of all the snow we had)

and played on all the rides!

CRAZY Hair Day at School

Noah reminded me about 5 minutes before his ride to school showed up that it was Crazy Hair day at his school. So trying to be creative I ran to the pantry and pulled out some red Kool-Aid. Add a little bit of water and my son know had flames for hair!

Violet Learns to Walk

Easter and mastered it a few weeks later.

Amy's Recital Costume
